Quick update before heading to school :)

Last night, my son was being a pistol.  Didn't want to sleep, didn't want to be held, but also didn't want to be on his own or play by himself.  Finally, I put him in his bed and said goodnight, then went back to what I was doing on the computer (School catch up, mostly.)

Dylan got out of bed, dragging his blanket with him.  He gave my legs a hug and then I heard him sit down on the floor behind me, facing our bedroom door.  I thought, fine, whatever, if he wants to curl up on the floor to sleep that's fine, I'll just move him when I go to bed.  10 minutes go by, and I don't hear a peep out of him.  Then another 5-10 minutes (I lost track of time, but I know he was there for at least 10 minutes) go by and I hear him yawn.  So I turn around, and Dyl is just sitting on the floor, staring at the collage of photos I have on my wall and on the dresser.  I kneel down in front of him and he's awake, barely.  I looked at him and said, "Are you ready for bed?" and he nods so I picked him up and put him in his bed.  He passed out after that.

This morning I showed him a picture of M&M (not on purpose though, I had left my last entry up!) and he just lit up seeing it.  I wonder if she had come to talk to him?  It's a beautiful thought so I think I'll keep thinking it.

And now, I'm off to school.  Blargh!!!

This is Dyl and my sister yesterday evening, after her birthday dinner and dessert.  She was teaching him to play video games :-)

  1. It sounds like a good thought to me! I wonder what she might have been telling him? It must have been something good!

  2. Oh don't start with the video games now or he'll never want to do anything else! (at least that's how my Dyl is)
